ABOUT THIS MINISTRY

Born in 2013, ‘Meeting by the Well’ is an evangelistic ministry based on the Biblical model demonstrated by Jesus Christ who waited to reach out to a woman by a man-made well which she visited frequently (John 4:1-42). Following a personal encounter with Jesus that enabled her to let go of the stronghold (John 4.28) in her life which was a cycle of broken relationships, the woman was equipped and released to evangelise to others.

She became the instrument used to reach her community and her message was simple – “come, see a man who told me everything I ever did” (John 4.29). And many... who were initially attracted to Jesus because of her testimony, believed after they spent time with Him.
In the same way, this ministry is based on Ruky Obahor's personal testimony following a series of bad relationships including two failed marriages.

After her last divorce, experiencing a period of brokenness and doubting God resulted in her having an encounter with Jesus, receiving restoration and a release to run into town to call people to come and hear her testimony with the hope that they would also encounter Him and be restored and transformed.

The main aim of this ministry is to help people identify and break out of the mind-set that keeps them going round in circles, visiting the same man-made well, be it toxic relationships, sex, phornography etc.

‘Meeting By The Well’ ministry is a 'shame-free' zone where we engage in real-life conversations about our identity, about our relationships with God, about our families and‎ relationships, about our lives, and about the reasons we do the things we do with the aim that as we have these conversations, people can receive the revelation and tools needed to break us out of every vicious cycle they may have found themselves in.
