Module One: Dealing with Identity Crisis.
The aim of this Module is to;
- Reflect on their early life experiences with their parents and siblings because how we see ourselves is often shaped by these experiences.
- Reflect on how their early life experiences have shaped how they see God.
- Reflect on any current barriers or mindsets to successfully uniting with others as part of one family.
1. Session One: Introductory Session.
The aim of this session is to give you an overview of the Sonship Academy and what it entails.
2. Session Two: An Exploration of our early experiences with our parents and their effect on our view of God and on the self.
Using a number of case studies, the aim of this session is to explore how the relationship (positive or negative) you have/had with your earthly father and mother have any role to play in how you see God as a loving Father and how you see yourself.
3. Session Three: An exploration of our early experiences with our siblings (if any) and their effect on the self and behaviour.
Using a number of case studies, the aim of this session is to explore how the relationship with your siblings was like and the effect it has had on your relationship with your friends, peers, work colleagues, other believers etc. (This would include an exploration of things like sibling rivalry, competition, comparison, jealousy, self-centeredness etc. if any.)
4. Session Four: Letting Go, Healing and Discovering Our Identity In Christ
The aim of this session is to bring you to a place of letting go of the past and to bring you to a place of healing and discovering your true identity in Christ.
